On 6 September 2017, I was grateful to be selected as a beauty tester of PUTIHTALK. In case you are wondering, PUTIHTALK is a website created where we can share and read reviews based on whitening products.
"Putih" which stands for "white" in Malay word is used and I personally think they really came out with a very creative name.
All we need to do is participate actively on their quizzes or mission given. For example, they will give steps on how to apply and the lucky winners will get whitening products (face masks, tone-up creams or tone-up cushions) and will be asked to do an honest reviews on their website after done testing out.
It is that simple, right?
Anyways, lets get into the detail. I have been given six types of face masks to try out and these babies came along with a cute pink box.

I will try these out and share my honest reviews on this post so it's gonna be long!

This mask is formulated for dry and sensitive skin. I was hesitated to try this out because my skin type is oily. Before that, lets get into the product's descriptions.

There are three calming complex that can be found in this mask. There are Panthenol (soothes and protect skin), Madecassoside (soothes skin) and Allantoin (soothes and protect skin). These three important components act as instant soothes and protect skin which can be easily become sensitive due to the harmful external environment.
I dont see any brightening purpose of this mask as it only focused to create a real skin barrier.
Application On Skin
Sheet Material:
The sheet mask is thin and didnt fit my face especially around the nose area; you can still see my long nose poking out to say hi lol. The sheet mask is made from fiber, nothing new or exciting about it. But! Lets look at how thick the essence is.
Essence:
The essence is thick and not opaque. I could feel the cooling sensation when I worn this and it was very slippery too. I had some problem to unfold the mask because of the slippery essence. This mask is scented. It smells like herbal and for me, I could tolerate with that smell.
This mask is really packed with essence. I used the leftover essence on my skin and that was when I realized it was actually quite sticky too. My hairs got stuck here and there so please make sure to tie up your hair before wearing any masks.
ATOPALM also advised not to place the sheet mask on your face too long because it could dehydrated by dried sheet. Therefore it is the most effective to use within the recommended time (10 - 20 minutes).
As time passed, the essence slowly absorbed into my skin and I started to feel uncomfortable because of the greasy feeling. My face looked oily and felt sticky, hence I decided to wash off (but not completely). I did not wash it off with any cleanser, I just rinsed my face with cold water for a few splashes until I no longer felt greasy.
There is no brightening effect after worn this mask. It is predictable because the purpose of this mask is to create skin barrier to moisturize and protect our skins from the harmful environment.
The next morning, I woke up with my face felt very hydrated as it moisturized really well. It didn't look oily and I also realized my pimple shrink! Now, that's GOOD!
I had checked and found out there was no Real Barrier Extreme Cream Mask face mask that available yet in Malaysia. There are other ATOPALM's products which available here but I just couldn't find the mask. But don't worry, their Real Barrier range line is STILL available in cream, gel cream, cleanser and more.

💛 MIKIMOTO COSMETICS Regenerating and Replenishing Essence Mask
The second mask I tried was made in Japan.
Price: RM 492.00 ( 6 sheets)
Usage: 5 - 10 minutes | One to two times a week after toner.
Volume: 17 mL
Made in Japan.
When I first cut the mask with a scissor and tried to smell the essence, it has this milk smells, like powder milk that moms made for their babies. 🥛
Lets get into what MIKIMOTO COSMETICS claims for this essence mask!
"‘The Essence masks (sheet type face mask and partial) are a moisture care series providing additional care for skin experiencing more dryness than usual and for point-care dryness. It is a simple 5-10 minute pack to be used 1-2 times/week. It contains hexapeptide. Eye and mouth area serum provides the suppleness and firmness that you need in order to fight the negative effects of daily facial movement and expressions. A sheet type refreshing face mask with micro-size vitamins and emollients that charge your skin with moisture. 100% cotton,"
Contains Mikimoto's signature pearl ingredients:
Pearl Collagen to create veil of moisture by its superior moisturization and moisture retention ability.
Pearl Conchiolin whose functions closely mimic natural moisturizing factor (NMF) of skin.
Pure Pearl Mineral that supports healthy skin cycles and barrier formation, and other original ingredients derived from pearl oyster shells and mother-of-pearl layers.
Application On Skin
Sheet Material:
It is 100% cotton material and I had no trouble to unfold the mask. Nevertheless, I saw that the sheet mask didn't soak with enough essence.
Since it is made from cotton, the material is quite hard but it fit my face perfectly. The sheet mask in beige color, same goes with the essence. The smells bothered me at first because it's not like I hate milk (i love it, really) but the smell was something... unexpected.
Essence:
You might not see it on camera but the color of this essence is in beige, exactly same like baby milk. It didn't packed with essence and the texture of this mask is like a thick water texture. There was a cooling effect when I worn this and this mask is alcohol and fragrance free too.
I found that this mask dries fast and that probably because of the sheet material since it is made 100% cotton.
After I took it off, I used the leftover essence on my skin and slightly massaged it. The essence wasn't sticky and I really like it, but it did leave a greasy feeling. I did not see my face brightened after used this but my skin looked really supple and very moisturizing.
The next morning, I woke up and I saw my skin looked slightly oily. I did predict it would turn like that because when I swatched the essence on my palm and massaged it, I could feel the greasiness after it dried.

Out of six mask that I got, Etude House is the only brand that familiar to my ears but I never try any of their masks before. I always used Nature Republic because it works so well on my skin. But lets get into the product descriptions.
The pomegranate used in this mask is to give an alive energy and natural glow which delivers the energy and firming to your skin. It contains pomegranate extract 2500ppm.
"The soft base and powerful moisture recharge. The ampoule type essence,"
→ Complete the sensitive panel test.
→ Use the water through 6 step filtration system.→ EWG green grade (1 to 2 grade) ingredients only.
→ 7 FREE (Imidazolidinyl Urea, Polyacryamide, Triethanolamine, Mineral oil, Silicon Oil, Pigment, Fragrance).
→ It has no remarkable air-penetration that your skin can breathe comfortably (Natural vegetable sheet).
→ The scent from nature makes you happy. All products use the natural essence oil (fragrance free).
Application on Skin
Sheet Material:
A very thin transparent/see-through hypo-allergenic sheet that soaked with essence. Hypo-allergenic sheet is suitable for sensitive skin type and it's very light and comfortable like air.
Essence:
The texture is like a thick water texture. Scented, smells good. There was a cooling effect and very moisturizing.
Etude House Holiday Mask Packs collection also came with variety types, such as Lemon, Manuka Honey, Pearl, Snail, Pomegranate, Strawberry, Aloe Vera, Blueberry, Hyaluronic Acid, Damask Rose, Lotus Collagen, Ceramide, Green Tea and Tea Tree.
The essence was not sticky when I applied it on my skin. It felt just like the other masks. My face looked glowing and there was a brightening effect after worn this for minutes. I woke the next day feeling my skin so hydrated and glowing. It didnt oiled up at all.
One thing I dont understand is the scent was quite strong for me even though they claimed that these masks are fragrance free and and use the natural essence oil.

💛 ULTRU I'M SORRY FOR MY SKIN Jelly Mask Brightening

ULTRU has came out with four new mask; I'm Sorry For My Skin (Revitalizing, Brightening, Relaxing and Pore Care) which made from jelly.
It is not their sheet material but the essence.

Application on Skin
Sheet Material:
It's a non woven type in light yellowish color that soaked with essence.
If you look closely, you can see a woven texture for the sheet material but it is a non woven, so I'm a little confused too.
The essence is thick, gel like. Kinda reminds me of aloe Vera gel. It smells good and the packaging of this mask is quite cute with coffee as a background. The mask fit my face perfectly, I had trouble to unfold it at first because it soaked with essence and yes in this mask is packed with jelly essence and that's probably the reason why the volume is 33 mL.
When I left it on my face, the essence ran down on my chin to neck. I sensed that it might be too tacky but it did stuck on my face really well even when I walked or moved around.
I love this mask so much. I enjoyed it. I also applied the leftover essence on my body, it really felt like an aloe vera gel.
When the essence fully absorbed into my skin, it left a slightly sticky feeling.
When I woke up next day, it really does its job as brightened your face! I'm very impressed with this mask. My skin also looked supple and moisturizing.

The packaging of this mask is very beautiful with warm striking yellow ombre style.
The claims:

Application On Skin
First, lets talk about the SMELL. Omg, the smells is so freakin good! This is by far has the best smell out of these six masks I got!
Sheet Material:
It's a non woven paper type. Kinda similar to fiber. The mask soaked with essence, smell so good. Really. No, seriously.
Essence:
A thick water texture and when you looked inside, bubbles everywhere.
I had a full mind blown when wearing this mask because this bubbles soon turned into foams. I dont know how, maybe when it interacts with the skin's heat, it makes the bubbles turned into foams. As you can see from my first photo above, that was when I put the mask.
A minute later ...
Crazy, right? Wait, there's more. After near 10 minutes, I could hear the foams' sounds (if that makes sense). It was popping. I was impressed, like really impressed. This is my first time I ever experience something like this when I wore a mask.
Can you see the foams? Crazy. No wonder the name is cloud mask. The foams light, as if it was a cloud. So foamy, so bubbly.
Unlike normal sheet masks, the packaging tells you to wash your face after the mask done cleansing, moisturizing and brightening your skin simultaneously. About the bubbles, it claims to exfoliate your skin gently and they called it the triple-effect. Three in one, which are brightening effect albumin (egg whites) for brightening, Natural AHA for peeling and vitamin c for brightening.
After I took it off, I collected the foams on the mask.
This is so amazing. I did massage my face with foams still stuck on face and suddenly in turned into a thick cleanser or like a clay mask texture.
And when I finally washed everything off, my face felt so soft and smooth! No joke but there was brightening effect too. I did not feel my skin dry or whatever. It did everything what this mask claims. My skin complexion was completely different and I looked glowing. This mask is everything. It's amazing. By far my most favorite one out of the six!

But, based on what written on the packaging, this mask claims for:

💙 Skin glossy.
💙 Skin vitality.
Application On Skin
Sheet Material:
The mask is made from pure 100% cotton but the sheet material felt on my skin was truly different than a mask from MIKIMOTO COSMETICS (also made from pure cotton). The sheet was thinner and softer.
The sheet also did not soak with much essence.
Essence:
Similar with the previous face mask, there was bubbles and not much essence shown.
There was a cooling effect when I worn this and it smells good. Not as good as the meringue cloud mask though, but it still did not sting my nose with its scent. My face felt really tighten and relaxing. I almost fell asleep with this mask on because it felt so good on skin. It was gentle, nothing like stingy reaction or whatever.
After I took it off, the essence wasn't sticky at all. I massaged my whole face like always and it felt good. But after few hours I left my skin with the essence, I slowly could feel a slight greasy but not as greasy as ATOPALM face mask. The greasiness was tolerable.
The brightening effect was there. It did brighten up my face and my skin looked glossy and glowing in a healthy way. Like dewy, yes.
